September saw the launch of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons’ new Fellows Directory which celebrates the accomplishments of Fellows, promoting their awards and achievements and enables connection for the support and furtherment of the profession.

The Broadcasting Entertainment Communications and Theatre Union recently merged with Prospect, becoming the biggest sector within the new union. This evolution has encompassed a rebrand and revisions to their website, members area and creative toolkit.

October brought another go live for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health as we launched a redesign of their education and training page with content filterable by profession and whether they are seeking qualifications, or learning and resources. The new design clearly categorises resources and signposts appropriate next steps all of which is aimed at a greater take up of these services and a resulting growth in membership. We look forward to reporting back on the success of these strategic developments!

And finally, a proud month for us with the launch of our new integrated member engagement mobile app for the National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT). The app is designed to mobilise the RMT Union members, providing information and alerts specific to their interest and geographic areas and enabling them to contact their branch secretary, register for events (which can automatically populate in their device calendar), and sign petitions through thumbprint and face recognition technology. There are already future updates planned which will extend to the launch of a digital membership card, remote voting and other value-added features for members.

5000+ members downloaded the app within its first week of launch demonstrating that members are waiting to be engaged with in this way. It was also great to see it reach 8th place in the Google Play store, 18th in the Apple App store and be one of Googles featured free apps.
