British Equine Veterinary Association turn to netXtra to launch a superior dynamic website
netXtra are pleased to announce the recent launch of a new dynamic website for BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association), a professional body representing over 2000 veterinary surgeons specialising in horse care. netXtra, who also developed and host The Open College of Equine studies website, were commissioned to enhance and improve BEVA's online presence. As a result, netXtra designed, developed and host the new website - www.beva.org.uk – a site which is already proving popular with BEVA's members, as well as more effectively promoting it to potential new ones.
With an attractive new design the new website imports member data from BEVA's TSG Enterprise MRM database to the website, allowing members to log-in and update their profile and membership details. There are also future plans to integrate the website with Sage Pay, a payment gateway that will allow members to book and pay for events online.
The new site also raises awareness of veterinary work with horses and provides valuable horse veterinary information to members and the general public. The site's CMS has been configured to allow authorised BEVA staff to add and amend content on any page of the site, as well as allow them to create new or additional site sections, as they require, without incurring any additional costs. netXtra have also designed and implemented the new website so that additional functionality can be easily added at any later date.
BEVA's Executive Secretary, Arabella Michell, said "We realised that we'd outgrown our old Drupal-based website and needed a better and more substantial content management system (CMS) to manage site material on a day-to-day basis. After a supplier tender review process we felt that netXtra's CMS, design, hosting and support capabilities, as well as their experience in the not-for-profit sector, offered us the best solution. This has undoubtedly been borne out with the highly successful launch of our great new site.
